Compatible makes/models: Dodge Avenger/Chrysler Sebring V6 2.5.
Details: Our kit for the Avenger/Sebring V6 2.5 features a Vortech supercharger. Also included are a Blow-Off Valve, FMU fuel control, inline fuel pump, boost and a/f meter, silicone hoses, and SC to throttle body pipes. Aluminum pipes and a 3" mandrel-bent cat-back exhaust pipe set are optional You will need a muffler and tip.
Installation: Installation is so simple that any decent shade tree tech can do it themselves. The toughest part is the removal of the oil pan for the supercharger oil drain installation. The radiator fans are switched left to right, and the rest is extremely easy. No alignment issues, no seperate SC mount issues. The drive shaft/mount/idler pulley brackets are all-in-one. Six bolts hold this kit on. It is just that simple.
Options: For those who want to buy the mount/shaft by itself, we also include the belt, pulleys, coupler, and mounting hardware. We have seen used Vortech units and kits sell on ebay for $800 to $1500, and they usually come with an FMU, silicone hoses, air filter, BOV, and sometimes larger injectors. Try to find a V1S, V5-HD, or any upgraded Vortech. The V1A works well also, but the S, R, T, and HD are more efficient. The straight discharge volute is preferred.
Performance: Our preliminary testing has shown a 100 wheel
hp
gain, and if forged pistons and rods are added, then 400-500 hp is
quite
possible.

Found this one on ASOG. A Supercharger will work on the A/S
platform.
WHY?
An efficient supercharger produces the coolest air, requires minimal
horsepower to drive it, produces the most overall power while providing
the highest dependability.
WHAT DO I GET?
A 30 to 70% horsepower improvement, depending on the application. This
type of system is designed to work within a reasonable margin of
safety,
and modified engines can easily yield improvements exceeding 100% (this
may require the additional changes to the fuel system, ignition system,
computer system, and internal engine and driveline components).
TRANSMISSION ISSUES?
Remember, the A604 transmission is
rated to withstand 350 to 400hp safely, but you must install a cooler
after
the radiator!
WHAT ABOUT MY CARS' WARRANTY?
The installation of this system will void the new vehicle warranty,
wait till it expires.
WILL IT HURT?
Just your pocketbook, but a supercharger system will not affect the
engine durability. Supercharged engines operate in vacuum almost all
the
time. When in boost, at full throttle, the forces on the engine are
still
lower than the rotational forces. The worst things you can do to your
engine
are: over rev it (exceed the vehicle manufacturer's specified red
line),
run a non-premium fuel, overboost your engine via pulley or boost
controller
changes, or modify your vehicle with aftermarket heads, cams, etc.
without
retuning the computer and fuel system to accommodate such changes.
MPG?
When the supercharger system is installed, highway mileage often times
improve due to the increased engine efficiency. If you tend to
drive
with a "heavy foot," or continuous launching from light-to-light, your
mileage will suffer.
OIL?
Change your engine oil at regular intervals because the engine oil
cools and lubricates the supercharger gears, and bearings. When
changing
your oil, remove and clean the oil inlet fitting and strainer.
EXHAUST?
Stock may not be acceptable. The Avenger kit has an
optional
3" cat back exhaust. The increased mass of the intake air makes the
exhaust
system flow more than it was originally designed for.
PLUGS?
Always utilize the stock specified heat range for street legal
applications.
STREET LEGAL?
For the most part, it is for off road or track. Of course, if
you live in any state that requires emissions, getting it to pass is
the
only real issue.

It was suggsted that is a GM supercharger, off of a 3800 engine (Firebird?). I saw a picture of a GM 3800 with this thing on it, so maybe. . .
The IAT could be relocated to the Air Tube (it's not here), and where is the MAP? They could be in the SC's stock positions as they are in the GM (if that's what it is).
As as you can see, it is bolted on to the Intake (That is a 3.0
Plenum), with a stock intake.
Must have been quite a cut-n-paste job. Looks like it may drive
off
a Double Pully'ed alternator.
This picture I got in Sepember of 1993.

HERE are some NEW Pictures of an Avenger with the SAME setup as
above:

These were taken on Jan 24th of 2004, from an ASOG
user "superchargedavenger98", I got them
January 25th from his
photo album.
