Write up on Rebuilding A604 ? >Photos<
« on: April 16, 2006, 05:54:32 PM »

I am looking for a write up to help me repair my 96 A604 achilles heel. Book, manual ?

Something that has clearances specs in it.
I had ALOT of metal residue in my pan and need to double check the specs.
(Tooth broke off of spider gears!!)

I would contact Roger Reynolds on this site. He posts in the transmission catagory all the time, and usually leaves his email in the post. He is the A604 master.

Here are a few photos of some damaged parts..
1, HOW did this scratch get on here ? I think it was when the tooth of the spider gear busted off...
2, Are these scortch marks normal?

I think that the tooth got stuck somewhere and caused the scortching to occur...

BTW, I need a good used differential with all its gears.
