I just had a run in with a 1997-1998 Chevy Cavalier. It had 4 fart cans and a hood scoop....and I only saw the rear end of it for a second. He saw mine the rest of the way
I don't know if my car is just super slow, but my bud just got an '05 Cavi with the 2.2 Ecotech, and it'll run circles around the bring all day long even though it's bone stock. At least light to light; in a quarter I might could get him just cuz I got displacement on him.
I'm going to guess you the the 2.5? if you do, not to be a downer of the V6's but the 2.5 is the smallest V6 you can get and i have no doubt that my 2.0 can also run circles around the 2.5s
i believe having a 2.5 V6 is worthless(not to step on anyones toes!) but a 2.4 is a 4cyl and the 2.5 is a V6. they are the smallest V6 you can buy. The Malibu for example: The 4 cyl engine makes 150 hp. the v6......how much doe sit make?.....150! the SAME as the 4cyl. that small of a v6 is worthless. they are added wieght and that makes them slower. the 4cly. has 140 hp on our cars and the v6 has 163. and is over 100 lbs heavier than the 4cyl. plus my car is a 5-speed, so i think my car would be faster(plus my secret mods )
Well, thats a true post, but also take into consideration to the way you mod a car? The Suburu WRX STi will rape your car without even thinking twice.. It'll smoke a lot of cars.. Its a 4 cylinder.. It depends on the way you mod your car.. The advantage you have in your 4 cylinder is that its a 5 speed.. You get a 5 speed in the 2.5L V6 and it'll run really good.. You can keep your car up in the power band range more than we can with an automatic v6.. Besides.. I like a v6 better than having to listen to the weedwhacker sound of a 4 cylinder lol.. But thats my opinion! I don't have anything wrong against you guys' 4 cylinders.. An avenger is an avenger.. Its a lot better than some worthless civic that everyone drives.. Altho basically anything seems better than a civic lol.. But like I said nothing against 4 cylinders, its just the kids with the folgers cans on the back of it, get annoying to me. Nothing against anyone who puts on a real exhaust!
As for your poll, I rand down one of those cars last summer.. He rode my ass the whole way down the street.. And when he took off on the quarter mile I had to wait for this car to turn because he passed both of us, but by the end of the 1/4 mile I caught him.. Our car can take it =)
