You might take a 4cyl. My GF's Mom's BF has a '02 V6 Grand-am and straight-line drag racing it'll take my V6 Bring, but I'll walk all over it in the twisties.

call me a cynic, but unless it contains a turbo or a supercharger, our cars are heavy, they are slow compared to light-weight vehicles with the same horsepower and torque, and slow compared to cars of similar weight but with better engines. so I am not a big believer of our cars beating most others pretty much stock for stock. And I've taken my beast to the track, and 17+second 1/4 mile time  o-60 between 7-9 seconds (depends on tail wind and if you are ona  hill!!) isn't that speedy

His "modified airbox" probably consists of using a cutting and drilling and making that air box less restrictve so the cold air is forced thru better... Its fairly cheap and easy to do I believe.. Thats probably his modified air box =)

Were talking an actual box that were not tearing apart and then replacing with another complete intake.. Yeah I can go buy a modified air filter to.. Thats easy.. But for something cheap and fast, you can also do a modified air box which will help you as well.. As long as you do it correctly and don't f it up!

You realize that just an intake isn't going to cut seconds off your quarter mile time or anything right??
I have CIA, and upgraded brakes, and my car is lighter than yours.  I can go faster and stop faster.  I would take you on if I lived by you, especially if your intake is all you have done.   Tongue
