1998 Sebring coupe LXi V6-auto 118,000miles
I noticed that cruising around 50-65 or so, there is a quite noticeable whining noise, from possibly the transmission? It only makes the noise when I press the gas pedal whether there is a load on it or not. It's loudest at 60MPH but changes pitch as I accelerate and gets a little higher and quieter. Is this a normal sound or is there a transmission issue waiting to happen? Checked the fluid leel and it wasn't low; actually slightly overfilled. Fluid looks clean, but I'm gonna do a filter replace and flush anyway since I just got the car. Any help would be great. Thanks.
