CEL code 32 help!
« on: March 10, 2006, 12:41:35 AM »

I was just driving down the road a few weeks ago when my check engine light came on. I found out first that my ECU was not working but now that is fixed and now it give me a code 32. Something about the EGR was wrong. I know that the site has the CEL code thing, but it doesn't really tell you much on what to do. If someone knows what i need to do to get this working right again please tell me. Oh and the gas miliage is horrible right now, because of what ever has hapened.

EGR is crap.  If you can get past emissions just buy a block of kit for 10-15 bucks.  EGR is Exhaust Gas Recirrculation, it take the HOT exhaust gases and puts them back into your Intake manifold.  So you're getting dirty, hot used gas put into your engine.  It lowers HP (not much though) and gas mileage.  You'll get a CEL for it but it won't be doing any harm.  There is a resistor that you can put in the wire for the EGR sensor that will kill the code.

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

is it just not good to replace it or is it not worth replacing it. The reason i ask is because i am getting crapy gas miliage and it sucks bad.

some people replace it, others don't. you will get a cel light if you don't replace it, and you probably won't pass an emissions test. besides taht it won't hurt anything.
