do you need to sand them or any thing like that. I dont think i can just paint them like you did i have the 5 star ones with the exposed lug nuts.

Is the chipping extensive, or just some minor flaws? If its minor, just buy some touch up paint from the dealer (or Wal-Mart). If its peeling, then nevermind  Cheesy

Just buy new rims. My Borbet Type T's are chipping away and there wasn't anything I could do to save them. Most likely it was a shitty material they used. If you want, when u buy new rims, spray them with an overcoat everytime u wash the car, they make a special rim overcoating that u spray onto your car which helps it against chipping and keeping the rim cleaner and better.. Just watch, they'll tell you what to use and what not to use when u buy certain rims. I'd suggest looking at American Racing or Motegi (division of AR). I have a set of Motegi's on my car now. If you call up american racing and tell them you bought a set of their wheels, and u wanted to know some information on how to keep them nice and stop it from chipping, they'll tell you exactly what to do. They are extremely awesome people. Call and tell them your looking at rims, and the prices. They'll tell you whether or not your getting ripped off. I bought a set of 16's for 391 and he told me I was still paying to much money for my rims LOL!!! So don't worry, they'll help you out Smiley

Ah i see your dilemma Sad I know how that goes, I used to work @ a video store part time, money sucked I never had any..
I don't know how much money you might be able to spend but I'll give you an idea. I got 4 rims for 391.00 from Sears.. They have rims for cheaper there too, and if you don't have a card, when u sign up for a credit card there you get 10% off your first purchase.. Of course the "install kit" is 80.00 for the rims I got, which is a bunch of horse excrement, theres no reason why lug nuts should cost 80.00.. They better be chrome with diamonds in them when I get them hahaha Smiley
As for the rims i got them for 85.00 a piece.. If you check the forums you might be able to get a set of used wheels for a decent price here.. Couple hundred maybe cheaper.. Also if you have a Classifieds thats seperate from the paper that goes around, look in there.. The rims you need are:

Heres what I got:

16x7 Silver Motegi's 5x100, 4.5 +42m 14 inch +45 OE Offset

Take a look around u may find something nice Smiley

If they are really peeling bad then you should probably strip them down to bare metel then prime/paint and clear ...
Or you could take and have thm powdercoated ...

You make me sad Crimson.  A post like that.  I'd expect it in a Lincoln Towncar forum or even an Escalade forum.  It wouldn't make me any happier though.  Cheesy
