A guy on ASEC posted this up about it, not sure how accurate it is, but hopefully its pretty accurate...

Ok  Ok  I use to tint windows...  Get something with alot of ammonia and a THIN Black trash bag.  Cut the bag so it is the Long ways and will cover the whole window.  Now.... Soak the Hell outta the inside back window... Now lay the trash bag over the glass as if it were a sticker... As little air bubbles as possible.  If your gagging from the smell your doing this right...LOL  Now tuck it under the trm and headliner so it doesnt fall off.... If its hot and sunny outside let it sit in the sun for a while with the car running and heat on full blast.  If its not sunny, oh well, just use the heat.  MOST of the tint should come off.  The tint that turns purple is VERY easy to peel off.  If you get most of it off, use the same ammonia based product and soak window again and use a 0000 brillo pad and begin rubbing back window, not only will this remove the glue, but you can Feel anything that may still be stuck on there.  It will also shine up your defrost lines and they will work faster!  If the car just cant get the back window hot enough then try the Steamer method, that works too!  What I would do is get some heat proof gloves or pliers and hold steam on there and gab tint at same time.  If you have ANY other questions feel free to ask!  While your "bagging" the back window start doing the side windows!  Oh, and tell them to be very careful around the front windows near the Mirror triangle.  The first time I tinted mine I didnt get it sitting right and after a week of not rolling windows down, I rolled my drivers side down and Riiiiipppp.  I tore it!  I hope this helps!

Thats me and its IS accurate.  I have removed tint from MANY back windows this way!

Okay a bit of a rundown on the whole tinting subject..

Sean posted how to do the ammonia method. I bought a bottle of straight ammonia, and sprayed it on the window, covered it immediately w/ a garbage bag, and let the car heat, in the process of about choking to death from the fumes LOL.. When I went to peel I had an extremely hard time, that adhesive glue was a bitch, and it was an extremely hard time to even get it off.. What ended up happening was I needed to use a heat gun in order to pull the layers of tint off..

In order to do it, you have to have atleast 3 people around and be extremely cautious and careful.. First you gotta pay attention you don't heat the crap outta the window and cause it to bust or crack.. What you do is you leave the heat gun about 3-5 inches from the window, heat it for approx 1 -2 minutes and pull the tint away from that area.. You do that all the way across the window very slowly, trying not to rip the tint. I found that it worked the best.. Thats just to do the rear window so you don't damage your defroggers..

As for the side windows, just get out a razor blade and go at it.. =)
