a 604 trans problem

hi
driving a voyager 3.3 with the A 604 tranny (1999) and having a lot off slips in my OD clutch
mpv is daily driven with a trailer
3 tranny's in 3 years. is there someone out there that has a real good advice
have already a special design atf cooler as large as a shoebox with a thermostaat that opens at 120 degrees
(european car ,higway driving 80/130 km )

The A604 is just a problem tranny. Period. Exile Racing sells a built version of the 604 that's supposed to be real good. But regular tranny flushes are really the only thing I know of that will keep these things going. You already have a cooler on there so that helps. Contact Exileracing.com and ask them. Hope this helps.

Sorry your so far away or I would ship you out a tranny,, Ill pass this on... If your pulling
a trailer,, drop your slector down to D or 3 in stead of OD selection this will help out..
I have my doubts your cooler is the issue however you need to find a new rebuilder,

I wanted to post a second time on your question as I may have missed a very important
point to you question... If I understood correctly you designed a cooler that only allows
flow of lube oil after 120 or it flows all the time and only starts to cool after 120
and maybe a electric fan kicks in? Ill pass this on.. you cannot cut off the lub oil
to your transmission , it needs to be lubed just like a engine all the time,, It wont die as fast
as a engine without oil but its a slow death and will not survive . roger
