Anyone Tried This?

Supossedly it increases horsepower and fuel efficiency.  I have read about 80% positive reviews on this type of product, but don't really trust anyone with my venge besides you guys.  Too good to be true?

There are a few different brands, this is just one:

First off, they never even show a picture of the product.  Seems somewhat sketchy.  They say you add this pill to the gas tank and it breaks up deposits.  It also states that the average car owner saves $300-$700 in gas with this thing.  Now think about that. Does it really seem rational that there's THAT much build up in the tank and lines to be saving that much money?

It sounds like that STP stuff you add to the gas tank to clean out the injectors.  Plus, I had a local mechanic clean my injectors by hooking this pump to the fuel rails then letting the car idle for a few hours so the cleaner the pump was adding would go directly to the injector nozzles.

After doing both of those, I noticed VERY SMALL increases in fuel economy. I highly doubt some pill will work like it says.

We've got pills for memory, fat burning, etc. all, but now there's a pill for cars too? Roll Eyes

http://www.microlon.com/  We've used this in our cars and it works great.  I was skepitcal when Dave told me that we're just going to put this liquid in my old Jeep and it will run better and get better gas milage.  You know what.. It worked!  It was truly amazing as when we drove the 4 hours back home from his parents house after putting it in you could actually feel and hear the Jeep idle and sound better.  Better gas mileage and even with over 250,000kms on it, it would pass the emmissions test so low that they would re-test it.  They always wanted to  know what we had done to it (ie were we cheating somehow).  Dave's uncle has a wrecking yard and has somesort of large diesel truck thing.. anyways... He had it in that truck.. takes it to get tested and it passes so low they can't believe it.. get the system recalbrated and test it again.. still passes with super low numbers.  So there is some stuff out there, but the only stuff I know of really working is Microlon.  Very cool stuff.

Does this stuff work well enough to quite my sticky lifters until I replace the engine?

Probably not is the answer I'm getting.  I also don't see it as cost effective as from what I remember the stuff is around $100.

Damn.  I may give it a try anyway.  I change my oil with about a quart of transmission fluid mixed in, about once every two months. She runs real quite for about that time.. then it comes on again... tick tick tick tick tick... lol.  Ive read other reviews about this stuff online and everyone seem to recommend it.  Ive tried a lot of othe oil additives such as Lucas and whatnot... and none had done as good as mixing in the good 'ol ATF.

Wasn't there a group buy of microlon back in the old ASOG board days?

As for the noisy lifters, have you tried Lucas?
