I know it's been a few years since I sold the Dupont Chromalusion Avenger... Just wondering if any of the "old timers" are still in here? Besides Dave who still runs the site and his wife.
I'm still Sportin' a Ford Lightning during the summer, I have a '69 Mustang, '99 Grand Cherokee and a 2003 Lincoln LS.
Yeah, Dave and I are still around. He's in the MI area last I knew. Came to visit us when we lived in Windsor. I loved the sight of that car driving down the street... truly breathtaking! Good to hear your still doing good!
I don't know why my name comes up "MARK" it should be "Trickvenger" oh well..
I miss those "club meetings" we had in Windsor, that was good times. I have been looking around here a little and A LOT has changed. I recall Dave was thinking of taking the awd from a talon and putting it in one of his Avengers. Then there was another guy who was putting a turbo (maybe TT) on his v6. I think he put a 5 speed in that car also.
I still have the touch up paint from my old car. I have about 8oz. of it. I'm going to paint my Mustang in a few weeks (months) and was considering electric blue. Now I am thinking of adding what's left of my touch up paint to the mixture. I figure it will have some type effect in the color changing, but nothing like the Avenger.
I have a ton of pictures (I searched for my old posts but couldn't find them)... WHen I get some time I'll put a few up here.
Well back to work (yup a few hours this saturday)... I'll check in periodically!
I remember you! I haven't been on ASOG in years either. I was ampm24, on from almost the beginning. After I crashed my 95 sebring into a wall, i vanished, then I picked up a 2000 sebring about a half a year later cause I missed it. I loved the color of your car. That's why my next car, a G35, which I should have before the end of the year, is going to be Ivory Pearl. I LOVE pearl color. Not nearly as color changing as yours was, but still cool. I think I even recognized a past ASOG name over on one of the G35 forums, but I can't rember who it was now.
I'm at work now, and don't ahve any with me, but I'll dig some up.
Finished school at MSU, then went to law school, now practicing in Troy, Michigan.
I miss the Avenger! Should have kept it, but had a few toys since then: 99 For Lighting 435hp/522trq at the rear wheels. SOld '86 mustang (race car, went best of 11.3 @ 128mph.) sold '86 mustang gt Convertible (still have) Finished up the '69 mustang (collecting dust)
Now I have a few drag banshees. One for sand, one for asphalt.
I was a member when ASOG was very small. I attended a few wrench-fests in Windsor and BBQ'd. It was a great time, wouldn't trade it for the world. Amazing driving across the boarder from Detroit (GHETTO) to Windsor (Canada) was like night and day. cruising along the river front. I miss that car.
