Shoot it in the face.  I don't have any experience with stockers, but you can try resetting it, pull it out, take off the harnesses and then put it back in.  That might reset the sensors that are reading an error.  Just a guess!

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

well i did disconnent the batt i would asume that doing that would be the same as disconneting the plug on the head unit and that did nothing.

Bad Venge is your best bet for answers on something like this.  Shoot it.

Unfortunately it sounds bad like either the loading mechanism or the laser is gone ... most dealers can service BUT cost will exceed getting a new aftermarket one ....You could take it apart and look to see if a label or something is jamming it

Super damn easy.  I think ours just pulls out, if not it'll be two screws above the head unit.  Then I think it's a couple of seven mil or ten mil bolts, then unplug the deck in the rear.  I can't remember if it has a pressure plug on the back (little black or white plastice piece that holds the radio in).  If it seems like it's holding real tight, make sure you have all the bolts out and give it a real good pull.  Unhook the harnesses and you're done.

the head unnit is super easy to pull.....take the trim panel off the outside of the heater controls and the raido......remove the 3 philips screws holding it in....2 on top and one on the bottom left and pull out....then you will neer a 3/8in wrench to unhook the grounding strap in the back.....the clips on the back you just need to pry out a tab on the side that is holding them in and remove the antenna and you are good to go..........my friend has a jeep grand cherokee with the exact same radio in it except with green numbers instead of orange....his unit is doing the same thing......but its weird it would stop working in the winter and start working in the summer.....but still would go out randomly .......best bet is buy an aftermarket reciever....they sound MUCH better...hope that helps
