Yes I'm looking in investing around 10k CDN in my engine next summer.

I need Ideas...

I'm not a mechanic so" go slow". Like what steven hawkins wife told him, in family guy.

so let the Ideas fly.

wow you just left that open!

Start with the block.  Bore it, hone and balance.  JE Pistons 8:8:1 Eagle H beam rods. Forged or nitrated crankshaft.  (Approximately 1200-1500 USD)
Head - Port out 1mm over.  Get 1mm oversized valves Titanium retainers and springs, AEM Cams, Crane turbo grind camshafts
OBX or Venom intake manifold, high flow fuel rail, 30lb injectors, FMU and a Reg
(Approximately 2500-3500)
Fidanza CV Shafts 500 bucks
Upgrade brakes
And a turbo kit!

pop out the sohc.. put in a 3L DOHC from a 3KGT.. build it up.. get a front driven crank sensor, a 6sp trans from new eclipse.. and away ya go.

Don't listen to those americans that say it won't fit.. they measured in inches.. you need to measure in centimeters.. you measure it with centimeters you'll see it'll fit.

or ...

for $10K you could probably drop a small block mopar engine in there and a TF-727 trans (indestructable) and back half it.  you could be the envy of us all..  and your a canuck.. so it means your brain will freeze this winter and you'll need to alcohol it up and then it will make *perfect* sense.. and you'll start it in february so it'll be done for chrysler @ carlisle where you'll let me take it for a drive Smiley

Can anyone give me more info/links for this and an estimated price and HP, compared to getting the 420a boosted?

ok well ryan (Ryan95i4, not sure if hes active here) Has built his 420a and boosted it. He is estimating somewhere below 12's but cant lanuch his car due to weak axels. He from a roll beats STi's, Cobra Mustangs, Ect. (Ive seen the vids). I dont remember how much he spent but I bet its not 10K. Check his car out here (http://www.gfmotorsports.net/ryan.php).

if his axles suck tell him to pick up the Fidenza ones.  Those are rated pretty good.  Oh and thanks for the link!
