i'm not sure if it's supposed to sustain the same amount of vacuum across the bored [i would think it should]. i mean, it would make sense that it would. but yeah, definitely replace that first and then start over.
I had mine scanned, the one time the CEL stayed on long enough and it gave me a MAP sensor error. Put in a new one, and still have the problem. Have not had a chance to sea foam it yet, its being shipped. But a new IAC was only 19 in Hawaii...now all I need is a diagram so I know exactly where it is. According to the 6G72(which is the only one I could find on this site, I need the 6G73...anyone...anyone) manual its on the under side of the throttle body? But none of the parts look the same as my engine, the 2.5L.
If you get a map sensor code, check to make sure that the vacuum lines aren't needing to be replaced. those lines don't last too long on a vehicle that's driven regularly
Is there a way to test the IAC, or am I stuck with guessing for now. OBD II codes are the same for most applications. The ingition on off trick is giving me a 12, 24, 21, and 34. 12, and 21 I know, but can anyone elaborate on the other two?
I went to Advance and used thier scan tool. P0123 is coming up. TPS voltage too high. Ive tried two new throttle position sensors, and got the same rough idle. Is it in the harness. At the constant power connector im getting 5 volts???
i dont think thats the problem i get that code and my car runs fine, have you done anything with the egr valve my car had a dying while idling driving problem and it was my egr you might want to try that if nothing else is working
