Powerslot rotor problem

I got a set of Powerslot rotors installed and now they are making a grinding noise. The mechanic said there's a raised metal lip over where the slots were cut out and they're rubbing the pad. He also said to contact the seller (Exile Racing) and ask them what to do about it. I haven't gotten a response yet, so have any of you had this problem? How do I fix this.

And, should I drive the car? There's a lot more brake dust than there should be for new pads

I've never heard or had a problem with PS or any other rotor doing that unless someone didn't install them in the correct rotation. (slots leaning away from the front of the car)

DO you have pictures of the problem?

What pads are you using? My Axxis Metalmasters are dusty, but nowhere near as bad as the stock setup.

Unfortunatley I don't have a digi cam or scanner. I'm trying to borrow one from a friend. And all the slots are facing toward the rear of the car. And of course the mechanic still swears there is nothing wrong with the install. I'll try to get a pic soon.

The pads are the PBR semi-metallics

I've seen them installed backwards and still run OK but faster brake wear ... Is it a lip that can be turned out Huh

Slotted rotors are inherantly noisier than stock... and harder on pads... but rid us completely of rotor warp...

try chamferring your pads... grind or file angles on leading and trailing edges of pads it helped mine!

have them turned again. Whoever made them turned them, then slotted them. You might be able to file the lip down, but turming them is only about $10 and alot quicker.
