LOL I used to have a cheap cone filter on the end of the stock intake. The first one fell off sometime when I was driving so I got another one and screwed it on before i put the clamp on haha.

Back in college, I had a nice ghetto set up for my lawnmower. It didn't start without using LOTS of starting fluid. After some time, it wouldn't run, unless you restricted the air intake, so I shoved an old sock (soaked in starting fluid). I eventually mounted a bracket to the frame (away from the exhaust) to hold a can of starting fluid, so I could mow and spray at the same time, instead of stopping periodically to "soak the sock."

Oh we made some interesting things in college. We had 2 beer bongs bolted to the side of our staircase. Each one was 14 feet tall with a twist valve. Out of the valve was a .75 inch hose. At the top of each was a funnel. Each bong held 6 beers.....we called them the "Decapitators," since there was so much friggin' pressure that it almost blew your head off  Grin.

We also made potato launchers, a kegerator and various other oddities (including the lawnmower).

That's what happens in a house full of engineers.

That would be a good idea, but there could be some liability assumed if I patent something that I did, and someone else got hurt (I was probably really REALLY lucky not to die in college doing stupid stuff).

haha, yeah that's true, well..think of it this way..they started somewhere. sell these "inventions" till you make enough money to hire a lawyer which can help you file a countersuit in case you get sued....then get a patent..give uncle sam his..and there would not be a problem...or you can just give uncle sam his in the first place and everything will be alright.
