My turn signals stopped working.
« on: October 05, 2008, 02:24:07 AM »

I gave my engine bay a wash today with a pressure washer. Everything was fine for 30 mins and then I felt a misfire or two and decided to pull over. When I turned the signal on nothing happened, same with the hazard lights. Anyone know what it can be?

The car drove fine for the rest of the drive, no misfires or anything.

Pressure washer bad. if you've never done it the right way, you could seriously f*ck up all your electronics. Perfect way to destroy a car though. Hopefully, you didn't. lol

Found the problem. For some reason the wires were shorted at the corner light signal. The previous owner cracked the harness and just put some electrical tape over it.

Good that it wasn't anything serious.

Pressure washer isn't that bad, you just have to be careful.

I've pressure washed mine countless times without issues. You just gotta know how to do it.  Wink
