??ASD & Fuel Pump relay testing for stalling out when idling??
« on: September 30, 2008, 02:32:38 AM »

I have a 97 sebring lxi 2.5l v6... I'm getting the stalling problem when I try to let the car idle. It is definitely easier when I cold start. I thought it was the IAC at first so since the car has 150k on it I decided to take out the throttle body and clean it out. Since I had it out I decided to go ahead and replace the TPS also while replacing the IAC. I cleaned it out, put on the parts and drove the car over 40mph for over 4 mins to set the IAC like it says with the IAC valve. Well that didn't fix the problem so I went ahead and tested the crankshaft position sensor & intake temp sensor. They both tested fine and I even cleaned the connectors.

So now I am on to testing the relays but I dont know how to test the relays or the wiring. I don't know which pins are for the relays on the connector to the pcm.

I also wanted to know which one of the 3 relays is the ASD relay. I know the one on the far left is the fuel pump but what are the other two.

Also if there is anything else I should look to check, please let me know...

If you sign up on our forum, we have a full listing with pictures of the location of the relays.

Here is a link (you have to be signed in to see it) to the relay post:  http://forum.disturbingmotorsports.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=19
