Make sure it's not premixed antifreeze if you do it that way! |

actually, as long as he's not in a colder climate, he probably could if that's all he had lying around. you can do a 70/30 mixture and still be within the safety limit. and yes i know it'd be a 75/25 mix if he uses the 50/50 BUT, no fear of freezing if it's in California, Texas, or Florida.

I would still keep it 50/50
too much antifreeze and it will over heat. Too much water and it will cause rust and scale and other deterioration.
Antifreeze serves 3 purposes. To keep the coolant from freezing, to lubricate parts like your water pump, and to protect against corrosion.

It wont hurt to use a bit more water than coolant. Just don't use tap water.

Distilled water for both your coolant system and battery if you ever ever ever ever have a need to add more water to it.

What is the fuel capacity for our cars? I said 16 gallons in the Haynes but I usually always though it was around 12 gallons because the needle is almost at the end and I re-fuel.
