'95 to '97 swap nearly complete(56k, prolly not)
« on: September 09, 2008, 11:54:23 PM »

i posted a long time ago saying i(meaning my parental units) blew the motor and trans in their '95 dodge avenger, and unknowingly, we bought a '97 to "just swap" the motor and trans out of...well, after we got the parts car i believe is when i last posted, and someone said it was going to be a bitch, considering some of the connections were different...well, whoever said that, you were right...so the ENTIRE wiring harness needed to be swapped, and it turned this project into hell, but either way...most of the swap is done, it's running. We just need to finish puting the front end back together, the exhaust, and some misc. interior, but other than that, we're good to go.

heres an OLLLLLDDDD pic of the car that blew the motor and trans

some of the parts car

Started tearing the '95 apart...

i cant seem to get my photobucket to work properly, so we're missing a lot of pictures ATM, so dont mind how bad these are jumping, lol...

but anyways, here's what we stripped the int. of the '97 down to, for the better seats and black steering wheel, not to mention the harness we needed in the dash Roll Eyes

pic of the messy ass garage
*EDIT*yes, that is a '67 camaro RS/SS on the right, chopped to pieces...and a '89 Daytona ES 2.2(swapped from 2.5)turbo on the left of the '95 venge

i'l add more pics when i fix my PB...but as of right now...im looking at about another 10-15 hours to finish it up Sad

Looks like you're putting a hell of a lot of time into it.  Glad to hear it's coming along!

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

Stock catalytic converter and maybe the rubber trunk seal if it don't have any rips or holes in it?
