ok, so apparently changing the rear hub isn't that hard to do, but i need to know how to find out which one is bad...i have heard 2 different ways on finding out which rear hub was bad:
1) When going at a steady speed 55-60mph and going around a turn to the right (kinda sharp) if the noise does NOT con't then it's ur LEFT hub
2) When going at a steady speed 55-60mph and going around a turn to the right (kinda sharp) if the noise does con't then it's ur LEFT hub
there's no guarantee. best thing to do is to jack it up and try to spin each tire. push side to side, and top to bottom on the tire. there should be more play on the wheel with the bad bearing. after a long drive the the wheel with the bad bearing will heat up the rim if it's in bad enough shape. just don't confuse it with brake heat. it should be noticeably warmer than the wheel on the opposite side. you should be able to tell from that.
