rough start, low idle.
« on: August 18, 2008, 11:12:45 PM »

Haven't had to post here in awhile.. but here it is..

takes a couple seconds longer to start like its not getting gas, the idle goes low and putts, and my throttle response isnt that great compared to normal before. also engine light blinks once in awhile after it idles for a couple seconds after started.

I put a new PCV valve and fuel injector cleaner in it.

i will check the CEL codes and update.

It's actually blinking, or it comes on and goes off type of blinking.  If it's actually Blinking for a bit, that's REAL bad.  Like don't drive it, you'll mess it up bad.

K. car won't idle when your in gear and slow down at stop signs and corners, (have to keep my foot on the peddle so it doesn't stall.

checked codes.

21 - O2 sensors, common, always had those problems.

43 - Ignition coil #1 / #2 primary circuit Harness and connector / Ignition coil #1/#2

43 - Multiple cylinder misfire (M/T)   ---     Ignition coil / Spark plugs / Ignition circuit / Injector / Upstream HO2S / Compression pressure / Timing                                                      belt /Crankshaft position sensor / Air intake / Fuel pressure / Crankshaft position sensor circuit and connector

43 - again for some reason

43 - again for some reason

21 - again

47 - Charging system voltage too low    ----   Alternator drive belt / Harness and connector / Alternator

(code 42 only once but idk what one it is, there's 3)

42 - 1. MFI relay (ASD relay) control circuit        --------   Harness and connector / MFI relay (ASD relay)
       2. No MFI relay (ASD relay) output voltage at PCM  ----    Harness and connector / MFI relay (ASD relay)

Jesus man!

12 don't care
21 maybe worry about
43 Check all connections, check the coil, check the timing.
47 Check your alternator belt, do you get squealing when you start it up or use a lot of power? (not going to cause crappy idle though)

42 If your fuel pump is coming on I wouldn't fret.

My belt just started squeling again.. so I have to tighten that sucker up again.. then not to sure what else.

I thought it might be oil in the plugs to cuz the problem seems like theres not enough spark.

Check the plugs then.  Pull them out and see if there's oil residue.

here's my TB when I pulled it off. Got it all cleaned up and seafoamed my intake, oil and gas. still have the problem. I think I will be bringing it to my GF's uncle, licensed mechanic, and suposidly very good. we'll see what he can come up with. Also when I seafoamed my intake smoke was coming out from the front of the front head... I'm thinking gasket or something.  Huh

It could be anything from a bad MAF sensor to CPS or even timing belt.  Embarrassed

You mean MAP sensor right? if so, I have a sg that can tell your map to know if its working, but that would be kinda pointless.
