front bumper
« on: August 20, 2008, 04:43:29 AM »

So I want to do something with the center of the bumper. It sagging or however you  want to explain it.  It is the area in red that I am talking about.

Any ideas how to fix that?  It not nearly as bad as the ones in town that I have seen, but I want to try to do something.

Reinforce it with L shaped stock. Just rivet it to the inside bottom of the bumper and it will straighten it right out.

I know it is something very simple, but what do you mean by L shaped stock?

An L shaped bar. Try to get an aluminum one so your not adding a bunch of weight to the bottom of the bumper.

Angle iron .... 1" by 1" 36 inches long ... you can also try to straighten the weak stocker too ....

I thought it was going to be something that simple.  If I have any extra time this weekend I going to try to do this, if not then next weekend.  I hope it works, and If I have probems I will let you guys know.  Any pointers I needed to know when I get to doing this?  Have not really worked with the front bumper on this car before.
