3.0 swap new question about....

I got a 3.0 out of a 00 galant es anything i need to know to get started. other than the timing cover alt bracket motor mounts. Any help would be greatfull

If you ask an actual question it would pry help in getting an answer.

I don't believe there is pictures from the different things you need to do when doing the swap.

remove the cps off the 3.0 the cps is on the trans in the 2.5??

will the starter and alternator and power steering pump work on the 3.0 off the 2.5?? anyone know

No, you don't use any external parts from the 3.0L for the most part.

You use the complete short block, heads, valve covers, oil pump, waterpump.

What did I say above...don't use any external parts from the 3.0.  The alternator, power steering pump and starter are all external  Tongue

waterpumps the same used mine cause it new along with new alt i still gotta buy an oilpump unless u can get it rebuilt so i can use the 2.5 front cover ima say the front seal is bad on the 3.0 oil under crank is good sign my op has120k on it but it works fine oil change every 3k since i bought it new only mobile one syn.
