if you have a v6....
yes, just take all accessories off... this includes brackets. this will create more room to get the engine out. Just swing the PS and AC out of the way, but remember to tie it up to something or support it so not to damamge the lines.
Pulling the engine was easy... putting it back WASNT... well mine was a little bigger too (6g74). i would leave all the accessories off until it is in. I had to "F" around with the angle of the trans... i had a jack under it to support the weight of the trans and not to damage the driverside trans mount. plus, i didnt have an engine leveler....just chains. the engine was half cocked the wrong way...blah. but after messing with the angle of the trans and a pry bar it bolted up nicely. just dont force any bolts...no matter how pissed you get...lol. use a couple of center punches to line bolts up too
