Mine is about 500 RPM. This seems low. However it might be normal.
Anyone got one of these cars to check?

I've got one, and I was right around there I think, I have one or two mods now though so my idle is a varying type.

When I first start it, it idles at around 900 RPM but when its heated up it always idles at 500 RPM. Basically halfway between the 0 and 1000.

First things to check are your IAC and TPS. You might want to give your throttle body a good cleaning as well.

Ok. I might be reading the needle wrong. It idles 2 lines below that big solid 1K RPM mark.
It might look like the first line is indicating 500RPM instead of 100RPM.

You're about normal then if it's on the second mark below 1k. no worries. that's more like 800 actually.

According to the '95 dealer service manual: - Curb idle speed: 700 +/-100
- Idle speed when A/C is ON: 850 in neutral
- Basic idle speed: 700 +/-50

that is the one thing that i didnt like about our tachs, the bottom 1k isnt evenly marked out, so idle is tricky to determine.

Not really, it just starts at 500 instead of zero. Zero does not exist to this car except when it comes to top speed.
