Running pretty good! Got it broke in and once I get some bills caught up I'll be ordering turbo parts. Won't start until this winter at the soonest. I'm guessing I'm at about 170HP right now without turbo. I've beat a 2.8 VW Jetta and the brand new 2.0 Caliber. So I'm pretty happy. Now comes turbo.

im sorry but beating the caliber shouldnt be a bragging point. at all. ever. It inherently loses. always... and the jetta weighs a lot more than the venge im almost willing to bet my next check on it...but I said almost and that was a lie i wouldnt do that.  J/k DT im sure the venge is fast. |

yeah my gti 2.8vr6 is 12valve pushing estimated 175hp. 2002+ years got 24valve ~ 200hp.
thats pretty cool DT, lets see that snail in your engine!!!

this is why I am happy that I bought my 2nd avenger with the 420a dsm engine. it looks exactly like it, while i know its not becuase it doesnt has the turbo, and its not an awd, but other than that, it is identical i believe. Jason Lee once told me that a 420a avenger is a very good car and its chrysler engine{420a} is a very good engine, and alot of people sleep on it.
Those pictures of that engine are beautiful. That is exactly what I am planning to do to my black avenger one day, trust me, you will see that day come.

I wouldn't say it's fast yet. Just faster than before. It still has lots to be done  |

The 420a is Chrysler's "Workhorse" that CAN be made faster, but needs a good turbo to see these improvements.
The 4G63(T) is purely a Mitsubishi engine and is thus more DSM than the 420a [Diamond Star Motors]. DSM was coined from the Mitsubishi's Diamond's and the Chrysler 'Star' because of their business partnership. basically. lol.
While the 420a IS found in alot of Mitsubishi Eclipes [mainly the 1g and 2g are what i'm talking about here], those cars were made by Chrysler with a Mitsu badge on them. The Eclipses that have a 420a in them, might as well be Chrylser Eclipses. The ones with the 4G63(T) are the 'Hybrids' by using a Chrysler chassis with a Mitsubishi engine.
Just in case anyone was kinda forgetting that.
420A DOHC - 2.2L of dependable workhorse turned racehorse with some money
4G63 DOHC - 2.0L of dependable racehorse off the bat. Turbo or Non.
