Well, I opened up my deskop, and I was looking for the 'microphone' hole in the front, and i looked inside, and i saw that there were 2 wires the were connected to the microphone slot, but the other end of those wires werent connected. the other end  has 3 wires{which say mic in then} ports that need to be connected to some place, and i found that place, but i cant figure out where those 3 wires are supposed to go.

and this is where they are supposed to be connected - to this little yellow board that is sitting inside the motherboard:



 

now it does not says anything in that yellow board, but it has 4 neddle looking things on the top part, and 5 needles on the bottom part. only problem is that i dont know where i need to connect those 3 wires on this yellow board.

 

However, it there is mark on each wire which says :"mic in", "mic ground", and "mic power"

 

any suggestions?

I havent built it myself.... so the only way left to do is to find out what mother board i have.
how can find out what motherboard i have by the way?

It wont work in the back as well. dont know why.
but problem is fixed now : )
