well i was just getting started on my 2.4 swap had my mount worked out my oil pan figured out so i began to pull the 2.4 apart to clean it good and paint it . after i removed the intake manifold i found sand in the # 4 intake valves . when i removed the valve cover i was stunned to find rust scaleing and pitting covering the whole valve train. i though no bid deal if its just the head because i could still use the bottom so i disassembled the head and removed it to find more water damage in the bottom end than in the top. this motor had to be under water for awhile for this kind of damage to have occured. i contacted ebay and the seller both replied and said it had been to long after date of purchase to do anything. i just had a brain anyerism 2 months ago so i just really started working on the thing. company said they pressure check it and the compression was fine and it showed 30 psi oil pressure. by the looks of this thing i would kiss any ones a$$ if it was ran in the last year. so the need of cash and the wind taken out of my sails everything is going to yard tomorrow. i will be keeping some of the parts to sell but every thing else is going. i posted a for sale post so if anyone needs parts check it. but its been fun and i apperciate all the help this site has gave me but will soon no longer have a venge
