The body has a system for getting out of trouble. Back when trouble meant being chased by a tiger, that system gave us a real survival edge. But these days, "trouble" is more likely to mean waiting in traffic... and "the system" is more likely to make us sick. Stanford University neurologist (and part-time "baboonologist") Dr. Robert Sapolsky takes us through what happens on our insides when we stand in the wrong line at the supermarket and offers a few coping strategies: gnawing on wood, beating the crap out of somebody, and having friends.

If you scored 5 or less: you may have low stress levels. Keep doing what you're doing! However, it's worth noting that even one symptom like 'working yourself to exhaustion' could be a sign of stress. I'm not stressed out because I just hit things and don't suppress my anger when I'm pissed. I say what I want so I think that's why I scored so well!! I scored a four.

I will start smashing things at work....that should bring my number down a lot I tell you, breaking excrement and yelling at idiots (part of my job!!) makes my stress level go WAY down |
