has anyone ever taken the heads off their car? or know how deep into the motor you have to go to get them off i.e. do you have to remove water pump?

It would probably be easier and more cost effective to just replace the engine with a 3.0

You would have a newer engine with fewer miles and more horsepower.

yeah i know i would like to do that but ive priced them out around my area and they are running about $700 around 30000 miles i have another 2.5 i was going to tear the heads off of and port them and port match the intake manifolds just to do that i would only have to pay for the gaskets i have new plugs and wires another motor would definitely be better but just too much for my budget now

You should always have aluminum heads resurfaced when they are removed.
