turn signal flasher unit
« on: June 29, 2008, 07:19:19 PM »

my hazards work, but the turn signals dont. the switch seems fine as everything works on the switch, so I believe its the flasher unit. There is this thing I pulled out that when disconnected, disables the hazards, like a control unit. would this be the same for the turn signals or do I need to pull something else like a relay? any available pics of what I should be looking for?

I have a problem with my turn singals as well. I dont know what happened suddenly, but they are not working.
I checked the brake bulbs since they are the same bulbs as the turn signals in the back and they were fine, check the fuse and it was okay, but i cant seem to figure out whats causing it not to work.
any ideas?

problem fixed! bad venge is right, i believe its just the hazards that work off the flasher, I had a broken wire, (green w/ yellow stripe) I connected it and voila!

well I would begin by examining the switch, if everything else is fine there, chances are that it has to do with the wire, I would trace the wire, sounds like an open circuit if your hazards and everything else on the stalk works,

I see.  any tips on how do i trace the wire?
but before that, I will definetly have to check my hazard{the fuse is burnt for the hazzard} but if it works, then that means some thing is probably with the wiring.

Problem fixed. What happened was that my hazards were on all this time, but they dont work because the fuse for the hazards i burned, so i couldnt tell it that the button for the hazarads was on. which is why the blinkers didnt work because it was interferring with the signal. I unpressed the Hazards button, and check it, and they blinkers were fine. What i dont know is who pressed that button in the first place.. I think it must have been my cousin.
