I agree, those switches are a pain.  I am having the same problem with my eclipse.  A new switch from the dealer is only like $30 I think if you can't clean up the old one and make it work.

If you would like I get employee cost at the dealer, I can get you a new switch and ship it to you for the price of the switch and shipping of course.

hmm, that is a nice offer Nykon, but let me first try these tips that these guys told me to do, and i will see whats going on, if it still dont help, then i will definetly purchase the switch from you for a discounted price, but that is only if are not planning to make money off me, lol, because I am have some financial difficulties right now.

by the way, can i use this as a multi meter and check the wiring in the connector?

Not really. It will only tell you if there is enough power to light the light bulb. That's a continuity tester.

THIS

Is a Multi Meter. [Multifunction Volt Meter]

But, that's if you want to be thorough. if anyone has one you can borrow and can show you how to use it, take that route. They cost about $20 for a good one.

I see, I will have to wait then. I only have 40 dollars in my bank account right now... dont ask me how i got here, lol...
Things will change soon...
I am wondering though, is there any other way to check and see if the wiring is okay?

well, the continuity tester WILL tell you if there is any power getting through the wires, it just won't tell you how much. If it's an easy enough task for you, go ahead and use the C. Tester to do a 'surface check', but as DT stated [or should i say, as Paul Hogan stated] in that pic, "That's not a knife. Now this, this is a knife!"
