Help on Motor Build

Alright I'm new to ASOG so please don't bite my head off if I'm posting in the wrong section. I just picked up a spare 420a for my avenger that I would like to completely build. Now here's my intention with the project. I basically wanna push as much power as I possibly can through the 420a. I'm planning on building a really quick turbo motor and possibly spraying a little N20 as well. The reason I'm posting this is for any recomendations on different choices in parts. I'm gonna build the bottom end first. I was thinking Bored .030 over or possibly .040 over. I wanted to go with the Forged 2.2 Stroker crank. Of course with the bore and stroke increase I would need bigger pistons so I wanted to go with the JE Pistons for the 2.2 stroker crank with 8.6 compression. The 2.2 pistons use standard length rods so I was thinking Eagle Connecting rods with the 3/8 bolts for the extra strength. And finish off the bottom end with underdrive crank pulley, high volume oil pump, and ARP main studs. If anybody has another approach they would try please feel free to let me know. I've built many cars before, but all bolt on. This is gonna be my first attempt with the complete internals and machining. All comments are welcome and hopefully helpful. Here is pretty much all you would need to assembly the short block, minus the machine work.

I personally would have the machine shop assemble the short block, that way all the tolerances are correct.

Let me rephrase. Boring our motors if boosting is bad.

I say that based on when I was considering it and I asked Alain and here is what I got back.

However reading it again I see that they bored it to .13 over not 0.030 or 0.040 so I may have mispoken.

.13 over is absolutely insane.

Done correctly and it will not be a problem.

Have you every watched dirt car racing?

They are running 350 ci blocks bored .030 and .040 over and running 600-700+hp and not having a problem.

There is no way to get a correct cylinder bore surface without taking of the material away. Just dropping in pistons is a bad ideal.

Well I was told that our blocks can handle some serious boost, and that boring it .30 over wouldn't do any harm to the block. The guy I'm gonna have bore it out told me that if the motor blows within the first 3000 miles then he would replace the block at no cost. He said he bores them out all the time and hasn't had any problems. Anyways, I've already got the motor and I'm getting ready to start breaking it down to the bare block. As soon as I start building the motor I'll keep you guys updated. Hopefully with pics and everything. Thanks guys!!
