New value price Mopar parts
« on: June 10, 2008, 02:09:16 AM »

I was at my local Dodge dealer looking to buy an EGR valve for my 97 Avenger and they had 2 prices. One was $141 and the other $102. The parts guy said the cheaper one is mopar's new value priced line that are just as good as the more expensive parts. I find that hard to believe, of course he didn't have the cheaper one and said it isn't available yet. Has anyone heard of these parts?

Nope, and I am in the parts industry.  I will be calling my buddies at Chrysler tomorrow to ask though.
I will let you know what I find out.

Sounds like Dodge pricing vs. Mitsubishi pricing.

EGR valves are different from make and model though.  They can't be swapped from one to the other in most cases.
