She has a little more time to shop since I got the Venge running this weekend. She can drive the 240 for a while, but it's new car time.
Throw up your opinions and the whys because she trusts you guys more than me. Why? I don't know. Oh and the car she likes now is the Caliber, the only real downfall to it is that it has such small windshield. And for those of you that have looked recently or work for a Dealership, we are looking at Brand New vehicles as well. Looking for something under the 18,000 mark.

get something fuel efficient, dodge and chrysler has a good deal going with the $2.99/gal gas thing, so something efficient from their fleet might not be a bad idea, I do like the journey, I dislike the caliber for more reasons than one.
Knowing what I know about the fuel economy, I'd suggest an import, if she's into the small car with plenty of room, then the fit, it's also quite cheap(about 12-13k no options), for something small and with power, I guess the mini cooper wouldnt be a bad choice.
The new honda civic hybrids get 51/45 city/hwy mpg, the fit if not driven like an idiot can achieve over 40 mpg easily, ( i know ppl getting over 50). Drivers seem to be very happy and if you do decide to go there, then get one from the 08 model year, as the 09 doesnt have many vital improvements.
If these fail to impress her along with gas going to hit $6/ gallon soon, have her get a hummer, that should change her mind within the first 5 mile trip when she has a half tank remaining and it takes $126 (around a barrel) to fill the tank.
Be smart Dj, get something that will keep you from spending your life savings on gasoline, it's not worth it.
P.S the WRX sti will kick major azz..cept when it comes to fuel economy..so if FE is not an issue, that's what you should get...the hatchback that is
Well it's case closed. Mostly anyway unless something comes up upon further inspection Emily will be getting a Audi A4 1.8t Quattro. AWD Turbo. I'm already looking at upgrades.

Wow, I was going to suggest a ford focus (wife used to have one and liked it a lot) or a dodge/chrysler b/c of the 2.99 gas deal they have but I like the A4 option. Be careful of the turbo. I didn't get one b/c I know those can be NASTY expensive to replace. I've been happy with my 3.0... I had to do small things here and there but its a FUN car. What year are you looking at?
Do you want to buy a 3.0 from me instead? hah.

I've got a buddy that's HUGE into Audi's and he's already replace one of his turbos (S4) and he found a good deal on the turbo so I'll go to him for anything I can't do.
The A4 is the old body style 99.
Oh and as for buying yours, she wants ALL the accessories: Heated seats, moon roof, AWD, variable tranny, you know all that good stuff. She's also getting a GOOD spare key, the switchblade style. So that saves us like 100-150 something like that?

Be very careful with those. My buddy had a B5 and it always had something wrong with it. I'm not just saying that to try and unload mine (which happens to have all the accessories you mentioned, 6spd and TWO (gasp!) switchblade style keys... i think one is weak though)
