Throttle response is quicker, so i do not feel a lag whatsoever, it goes by throttle position and manifold pressure to decide amt of fuel injected.
It shifts a tad bit harder, no trouble getting to shift point, very sporty shift, (not too soft, not real hard either) I could do a zero to 60 video, but in second gear it pulls like a mf.
The throttle body isnt too big, a 10% increase in size usually does not harm the low end performance in anyway, top end gets a heavy assist though. I wouldnt worry about lower intake velocity meaning less power, not in MY avenger
