what are the ways to retard time? is one mechnical and other electronic?

Mechanical is dangerous ...one tooth too many and boooom ... The superchips icon can programto advance/retard timing

Unless you have decked the heads more than once...or put in aftermarket cams...not much besides looks.

If it was a DOHC engine you can get gains that way....but not on a SOHC.  A lot of the DOHC guys like to more the intake and exhaust cams around to find gains.  With an SOHC setup you can't move them seperatly without messing with the other.

Scott, what's the difference between those MSD and the ICON?

The ICON is the only thing you can advance timing with.

With the MSD you can only retard the timing.
