How is the average person going to do the swap in there garage?

No one know what is needed for transmission mounts.  Which leaves only 1 stock engine mount.  So this leaves 3 custom made mounts.

No one knows what is going to be needed for shifter linkage.

No one knows what is going to be needed for a clutch petal and clutch cable.

No one knows what is going to be needed to make the speedo work.

I think it would be half ass of us to just toss the trigger wheel out on the market and let people beat there heads against the wall once they get it.

you guys are right its good that u want it to be done correctly and all. i just think it would be cool if you guys once you complete a sucessful swap and know it works right if u could make a swap kit you know with the custom mounts, and everything needed to do the swap once you guys figure it out i know i would buy one.

Once everything is where they need it to be, more than likely they will.
BUT ONLY IF:
  • It meets their quality standards
  • It passes strenuous testing
  • They feel confident that it won't cause any problems that would even REMOTELY come close to harming you

Now I don't claim to be a spokesman for DMS, and frankly, Sroufe and Mylf would probably jack slap me if I tried, but from a consumer stand point, I'd simply sit back, wait, and just keep an ear to the train tracks for the murmurs of when and IF they decide it's safe to market.

I'd rather have a project blacklisted due to hazards than greenlighted b/c of internet pressure.

Plus, I'd have been more than willing to drive my 99 ES up there for the swap to have it done right.
Without any other knowledge, would you rather have someone who has an advanced medical degreee perform open heart surgery on you or a pediatrician?  Wink
