I'm not going to harp on this and I understand that these cars are getting old and not worth putting the extra money into unless you plan to keep the car for another 10 years. The decision is totally up to you and i'll just point out the difference between Auto part store parts and Moog parts.
Auto part store tie rods have a metal ball that sits in a plastic socket. Now if it is properly lubed and kept sealed so moisture don't get to it, they will last quite a while. If your tie rod boot is worn out, cracked or has a hole in it, moisture is going to get in. This goes for Moog parts as well. Replacement boots are rather inexpensive. Oem tie rods are no better than part store parts.
Moog has a metal ball that sits in a metal socket. Therefore, it will last years longer than a plastic socket will as long as moisture is kept away from it via a good boot.
Sure TRW has a lifetime warranty but I doubt that warranty covers labor and an alignment when or if they do fail. Inner tie rods are not the easiest parts to change out on a car.
yeah, well if i get the TRW, i'll probably have the time to change them myself AND we have an alignment rack at school. also its the outer tie rods that are shot.
but yeah, as i said earlier dang you for giving me a decision to make

, i'd like to get the moog, but right now my budget can't handle it, im a poor college student

i just got a job and it should help, but i'm not going to get a paycheck from them for about a month(they pay bi-weekly and the first check is delayed for processing) so that should help, but it willl remove the opportunity for the free alignment.
