happy happy joy joy!
« on: March 24, 2008, 02:05:49 PM »

finally got loki a new battery. lol!!! the redtop optima that i got 2 years ago quit holding a charge about 6 months or more ago and i've just been lazy in returning it. i got lucky because i went up to oreiley's to buy some paint to paint the magnum's calipers and decided i would just see how much it would cost me to switch out the venge's battery as i was positive i had waited too long and my warranty was expired. but lucky enough for me, even though it had expired on the 4th of this month, they gave me a free battery. Smiley

took a few pics while i was doing stuff. i need to clean my poor neglected avenger. but i started with a new battery and drove him around the block a bit and aired up the tires. more to come later as it gets warmer. supposed to be 77 tomorrow so maybe this weekend will be nice for a change.

i did some caliper painting this weekend. not on the venge, but on the magnum and the bike. here's some pics if ya care to see em. i think it turned out really nice. the color is hard to see in the pics as it looks SO much better in person. its a beautiful metallic red color and has the nice little metallic flecks in it that don't show in the pics.

it really made a difference on the bike. i think it looks great. now i really gotta clean the bike wheels and polish that damned swing arm! lol!!! Smiley

Wow looks good.  I know the plans for the Venge, but what do you have planned for the Magnum?

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

well i have probably about 6 to 9 months left of warranty left on the magnum that i'm not yet ready to void. but after that, i'm bagging the magnum. Smiley  until then, i may do a few small thinks like a cai and maybe some upgraded brakes and subs or something. i'm up for ideas if ya have any. oh, i may get a new hood.

no, just the tails. when i first molded them in, i wasn't sure what i was doing and just used bondo-glass (the kinda bondo with fiberglass in it) instead of using resin and cloth and bondoglass like i did with the rest of the kit. the only thing that's cracked right now is the front bumper and a bit on the fender when the whole passenger side came crashing when the struts broke before the air. it got cracked cuz i had to try and drive the damned thing home like that about a mile and a half. Sad
