i got it for $1000 and about 20 hours behind wheel to get it and bring it back.

and yes, i am leaving it Alpine white.

i will try to aim for something like this:






i am debating with myself, should i just do headgasket and clean up engine bay little bit.... or just try to find some tools to pull whole engine out and freaking make that thing spotless

also it has some significant rust problem which i didnt know about since i didnt see it in person untill i bought it... so i migh fix it up, sell for some nice profit and get something like that BUT with no rust

and parents said i can only keep 1 car, aka i gotta sell either BMW or VW

I'd pull the whole motor and clean it up.  As for which to keep I'd keep the VW just because of the rust issue.

yeah i was thinking about exact same thing.

well now it is a little bit waiting game.   got several people interested in Avenger, so i need to sell it 1st, then start to get all parts to do the job.

i will post pics and updates once i will start on it.

well i didnt really do much to it, yet, just been busy with classes Sad

but, still, washed engine little bit and stripped some parts off.  now it is sitting in garage, gonna start tearing engine apart tomorrow.
