they had an excellent electric car years ago (EV1)people loved it, celebrities endorsed it-but they were only available on a lease with no option to buy it out and they scrapped the car for of all things-the Hummer contract! Roll Eyes

i like the volt concept, it looks mean, but the new volt looks good too, a bit more of a bad-ass looking sedan(lancer or impreza territory). if the production vehicle remains true to its plans, 40 miles on a charge, GM just announced that the fuel tank has been reduced to bring the the total range to almost 400 miles on a full tank of gas.

i personally think its awesome, i mean my daily trip is generally about 50 miles, so for 10 miles i'd be running on gas. thats 40 days i can drive without filling up. and when i would fill up its only like 6 or 7 gallons at $4 a gallon thats $24-30 a month.....that is amazing, if it remains true to the hype they've been spouting.
