Carwash...
« on: March 10, 2008, 08:28:30 PM »

Whenever I go to the automated car wash, water always gushes in from the back of the windows, close to the pillar. Anyone had this problem before? If so, what did you do to resolve it. For now I wedge paper towels between the glass and the rubber, but Id like a better solution...

That's a common problem with the frameless windows... Mine does to a bit.. I've actually never been through a automated carwash with my Sebring. (manual wash FTW) but a bit does squeaze through when I wash it.

The rubber on my drivers side is a bit chewed up to.. thats where it leaks...

I was thinking the back window at first......

My door windows do it a little.  Not to much tho.  Just some drops down the window.

ok. ill check the rubbers. I have spare ones the might be better. It is the front windows that leak, not the rear ones. The water shoots right in... water can dry, but the soap and wax leaves a sticky residue...

same here. on my 99 venge, it had been wrecked before and the windshield replaced. well, they did a 99.5% job on it and the windshield would leak right at the drivers front column cover when it rained hard.
