3.0 engines cost less by far. And the 2.7 has oil passage problems. I have an 04 Stratus with 84k sitting in my backyard with a blown motor. The 2.7's are JUNK!

I'm sure the 2.7 could bolt up, however, it would be more of a waste of time especially with the 3.0 available. if there is a freebie, you could be the first to do the swap.

the 2.7 doesn't even have a mitsubishi style bolt pattern for the transmission

yeah I know but after you find out that you need the A604 from a 2g srtatus
and you find out you need to rewire the transmission connector
and you find out you need the 5 speed swap trigger wheel
and you finally found out that you don't have the right computer to drive a coil pack since you engine used a distributor

etc etc etc

so you give up and install underbody neons instead

I agree 2.7 are junk. 3.0 are def chepaer and i tihnk in many ways better.
