I wanted to make my own a while ago, but never got through it.
I wonder, can i just use a project bezel for each headlight?

basically from the way i understand it, you have to use the H7 bulbs if you want the projectors for space reasons [probably another reason too like actual light output and the way the beam hits the road].

What I am basically asking is can I just take this part and mount it inside the headlight?

there's certain ones that are too tall for the housing basically. I think the 300 or the concordes are some of the ones that are too large.
