I have termites and I want good service b/c I'm getting wood floors put in but I don't want to be ripped off.

Orkin: Using Termidore, charged 1350 but offered a discount down to 1101. They are drilling around the outside walls AND filling a termite damaged wall with foam AND drilling into the floor around the damaged wall to put in termidore.

Terminix: Over the phone, he said he wouldn't charge more than 650-750. They are going to do everything Orkin will except for filling the wall with foam. They are also using termidore.

I've heard nothing but good about Orkin. I've heard some bad things about Terminix, like them trying to charge after you try to cancel. More importantly, I read a review from a former Terminix manager and he said they cut corners.

I want the termites gone. Termidore has a 100% affectiveness... of course, not so much if the company cuts corners. I live in the #2 area in the nation for termite infestation. yay.

So what are your opinions... save 400+ (terminix) or have a peace of mind (orkin) that I'm getting better service?

Orkin. You really do get what you pay for this day and age. Bad part is that if you pay for the discount service, you get the discount end result. Termites that mock you in your sleep.

So have Orkin nuke em and repair the damage the termites did.
