Who would want one for $200-$300 shipped?

This is just a feeler...

The ICON is the only "chip" that works on our V6 platforms. It allows us to advance the timing thus creating more power. It comes pre-programmed to 5+ HP across the power band. It can be tuned for much more but you must run premium gas. Also, the more advancing you do, the more chance of detonation in the cylinders. But this is deff. the best bang for buck for our platform... IMO. Grin Also helps w/ gas mileage and throttle response and launch.

ok, here's my criticism (positively speaking of course)

i thought that the detonation IS SUPPOSED TO take place in the cylinders. and also, do u have one and was trying to get a group buy? or u tryin to sell urs?

and more technical..are u SURE advancing the timing will still allow better mileage?...hmm..maybe on some cars...

Well it's leaning it out a lil' bit and not making it run asa rich so yeah you'll save some gas. And I meant unwanted detonation... I can't think of the term but it's the bad kind lol Cheesy And this is for setting up a group buy.. Hell, if I had one, I wouldn't be selling it Grin

COMBUSTION = ignition under proper compression

DETONATION = ignition under 'ohhh craaaap!! i need a new engine' condition

I had relevant clarifying information for the thread here-in, thank you. Falsely accusing someone of whoring is whoring in itself. lol.

By making a relevant statement, that negated the "whore effect" which i will have to do again Angry

Put up a thread solely for the group buy so we can just add our names.

i'm guessing this reduces the amount of power absorbed by the transmission? or are they just geared differently? or both...

It would be the same as changing the rear end gears in a RWD car.  More acceleration and less top end speed.

It does not change the gears of the actual gears in the transmission.
