I have 4 kids. Three male one female.
My senior year we had only typewriters, and word processors were new. NO pcs'. A PC the same capability as the typical 400 dollar one today would have JUST fit inside the average GAMESTOP store, been powered by 480 volts, and been water cooled!
The recently graduated senior class has had computers in the class room since kindergarten. They are afraid of nothing electrical like most of my generation...tackle and accomplish anything the teachers throw at them and average 10 points higher on the ACT than I did.
My observation has been that the teachers are challenged by this and respond and grow also. The students learn in spite of the mediocrity displayed by a minority of the mentors that get all the attention.
In short...things are getting better!
