lol.
Rob, if you didn't replace the fuel pump filter

You need to. This isn't a 'well it looked ok when we changed it over' situation. Fuel pump strainers are never a reusable item. once you pull a fuel pump out, go spend the measley $7-$20 that they cost.
Try to drink water through a VERY narrow straw to quench your thirst as opposed to just chugging the cup. Use that as an analogy [which i'm hoping since i don't know, that you already understood the necessity of changing the fuel pump strainer].
If your strainer isn't new, it is more than likely clogged. If it's clogged, your pump will not be able to pump enough fuel to the chamber to create the proper mixture, therefore, showing a 'lean' mixture.
When I worked at Advance, I took joy in denying people the warranty on the fuel pumps they bought because we were REQUIRED to warn them that not changing [let alone buying the damn thing on the same ticket whether they changed it or not] the fuel pump strainer VOIDED the warranty the moment they ran ANY fuel through it.
Since the pump isn't too hard to get to, please change the strainer if you haven't with a brand new one.
